Jonathan Houle

I'm Jonathan. 21 years old, Canadian, from a small town in Québec. I live in Hat Yai, Thailand.

I'm a founding employee at Hone.gg, a PC gaming optimization platform for Windows. I work on the Optimizations team, mostly on system tools, analytics, and the practical work around shipping Windows software.

I speak English and French. I'm learning Thai because I live here and menus are better when you can read them. I taught myself Japanese before this with mnemonic systems. The Thai quiz on this site uses the same approach.

Where I'm headed

I'm taking on a small number of client projects: fast sites, internal tools, analytics setup, and technical cleanup work. I use Codex with MCP integrations as part of the workflow, then review the output like any other code.

The standards thing

This site uses current dependencies, oklch color with fallbacks, preloaded variable fonts, inlined CSS, no-slash canonicals, and strict cache headers. I care about the small details because they show up in production.

Outside of work

I ride a Ninja 300 around southern Thailand, lift, and film short rides when I have something worth cutting.
